VAR calls leave De Rossi and Spalletti fuming as Napoli prevail at the last | Nicky Bandini

😒 I'm so done with VAR in Serie A! It's like they're making it up as they go along and teams are just exploiting the system for an advantage. 🤯 Coaches are getting frustrated, players are getting fouled on a whim... it's not about the beautiful game anymore, it's about the refs' decisions. And let's be real, Daniele De Rossi is spot on when he says football has lost its way. 👎 The only thing that's changing is the rules, and not for the better! 🙅‍♂️

I'm telling you, VAR is a recipe for disaster in football. It's all about creating more problems than it solves. First of all, it's so slow and cumbersome, it's like watching paint dry. And don't even get me started on the inconsistency - one minute you're getting a pen, the next you're not. I mean, what's the point of that? It's like they're just making it up as they go along.

And have you seen those VAR stats lately? Like 99% of decisions are overturned, but only because of technology... not because anything actually changed on the pitch. It's all about the humans involved getting it wrong, and then tech comes in to save the day. Not exactly what I'd call progress. And don't even get me started on the players' reactions - like Maxwel Cornet scoring that goal and immediately celebrating, thinking he got away with something... meanwhile, Vergara is just standing there, looking all innocent 😂. Give me a break!

OMG 🤯 u gotta be kidding me!! VAR is literally ruining football!!! De Rossi's right, it's like the game has lost its way 😭. I mean who needs all those extra reviews? It's just giving teams an unfair advantage. And that kiss move by Spalletti was so awkward lol 👀. But seriously though, refs need to get their act together and learn how to make decisions on the fly without relying on tech so much. And btw, Genoa is doing better under De Rossi, fingers crossed they can keep it up 🤞
