UK takes 'light touch' approach to regulating Apple and Google's app stores

I don't usually comment but I gotta say, this UK thingy seems kinda weird to me 🤔. They're being super chill with Apple and Google, which is pretty opposite of what you'd expect from a country that's all about fair play 😒. It's like they're giving those tech giants a free pass just because the US might get upset 💸. I mean, can't we have some real rules here? Like, how are devs supposed to compete when Apple and Google are basically best buds with each other 🤝? Don't get me wrong, I'm all for innovation and progress 🚀, but this whole "suggestions" thing is just a big ol' cop-out 😅. I hope regulators come back down to earth soon 👊

this UK approach is super interesting, reminds me of the whole EU vs US trade war thing, you know how some people say the EU's all about regulation but others claim it stifles innovation 🤔. I think the CMA is trying to find a balance between letting these big tech giants operate while also keeping an eye on them. But let's be real, this 'light touch' approach could be code for "we're not gonna rock the boat" - what about the EU's Digital Markets Act? Is that just being ignored or is it a case of UK trying to stay close to the US? 📊
