I think it's kinda funny that people are still hyped about 'zero-carbon' this and 'clean energy' that...like, what's the point of making electricity if we're just gonna use more of it?
I mean, have you seen those subsidies they gave to solar farms in 2024? £65.23/mwh is crazy! That's like, a lot of cash for a bunch of panels on the roof...or in this case, a bunch of turbines in Cornwall. But let's be real, it's all just about saving face and getting votes from the eco-warriors
. I'm not saying fossil fuels are great or anything, but can't we just talk about the cost-effectiveness of these new renewables instead of throwing around buzzwords? The Imerys project is cool and all, but 20 megawatts? That's nothing compared to what those Scottish onshore windfarms got...
