You know what really got me thinking about the value we place on creativity
? Like, in this case where filmmakers had no technical constraints and were encouraged to just go wild with their ideas... I mean, sometimes that's exactly what's needed to push boundaries, right? It's like, what if everyone was bound by rules and expectations all the time? Would art ever truly evolve?
And it's also interesting to think about how this event is not just a celebration of horror movies, but of the community that comes with them... I mean, costumed tribute bands and retro gaming stations are such cool ways to bring people together over shared interests
. The fact that it's sold out on Saturday, though, kinda makes me wonder about accessibility and who gets left behind in these kinds of events
. Anyway, I'm hyped for the festival and can't wait to see what kind of terror those short films bring
