Mom gives adorable 8-month-old daughter long black hair extensions — see how the tot reacts

A Massachusetts mom has taken her eight-month-old baby girl Frankie to a hair salon to give her the most unlikely makeover - long black hair extensions. The result is nothing short of adorable, with the toddler sitting serenely in a chair, sporting her new locks and beanie combo.

The 22-inch extensions were a spontaneous idea hatched between Chelsea Falcetti, the mom, and a receptionist at her salon. "We thought, 'Who doesn't love cute baby content?'" Falcetti explained to People magazine. The video of Frankie's transformation was posted on TikTok, where it has garnered over 2 million views, with many users praising the adorable child.

In the video, Frankie can be seen sporting her new hairdo in the mirror, and it appears as though she is completely taken by her radical new look. Her mom captioned the clip "Fresh new pair of 22s for tha babyyy," which only added to its viral charm.

The comments section has been flooded with users sharing their own nostalgic connections to Frankie, including a claim that she gave them an IPA recommendation at a brewery back in 2018. Many have also praised the child's cuteness and adorability, with some simply calling her "baby girl" for all eternity.

For Falcetti, the experience has been overwhelming, with her phone blowing up with notifications almost immediately after posting the video online. She told People that she was stunned by how viral it became, saying "Almost immediately after I posted it, my phone started buzzing nonstop with notifications... It was wild and so fun to watch happen in real time."

omg can you believe this mom is literally trying to make a buck off her baby girl's viral pics? first it's hair extensions now she's gonna be all over the internet with some scripted video and a cute beanie combo lol, i mean i guess it's kinda adorbs but lets not forget this was just a spontaneous idea born out of "who doesn't love cute baby content" 🤦‍♀️. and btw 22-inch hair extensions for an 8-month-old? is she trying to give her child a premature adolescence or what? 😂

I gotta say, this mom's idea of taking her 8-month-old to a hair salon for a makeover is kinda crazy 😂. I mean, who needs that much attention? The video of the little girl with long black hair extensions is actually pretty cute tho 👶. It's hilarious how some people got nostalgic over it and remembered the IPA recommendation lol 🍺. But seriously, it's like she became an internet sensation overnight. I'm not sure if I'd want to deal with all that attention, but hey, if being a viral sensation is what you're into, then good for her 💁‍♀️.

OMG 😂 like this mom is literally the coolest! I dont know about these hair extensions tho 🤔 they seem kinda weird for an eight-month-old. I mean Frankie looks super cute but idk if she likes it lol. And what's up with the beanie combo? Doesnt she get too hot in that? 🤷‍♀️ anyway, I'm so glad I got to see this viral vid and it made me smile 😊

🤣 "Be careful what you wish for" 🤣 - I guess Chelsea Falcetti didn't think through the potential backlash of making her baby go viral 😂. But honestly, who can resist those adorable baby locks? 🐰💇‍♀️ The internet is just a highlight reel for cute babies and their crazy parents 💁‍♀️!

omg i cant stop thinking about the new season of stranger things 🤯 like who else is hyped for it?? did u guys hear that netflix just dropped a new show about the history of video games? sounds super interesting... anyway back to frankie's hair, i gotta say those 22 inch extensions are kinda crazy but also kinda genius 🤷‍♀️ my little sis has been wanting a ponytail for ages, think we might have to try this out

OMG, this mom is a total lifesaver for me! 🤣💇‍♀️ Frankie's hair transformation is literally the cutest thing I've ever seen - those 22-inch extensions are EVERYTHING! 😍 I'm not even kidding when I say my heart just melted in that TikTok video. The fact that she got a reaction from Frankie by giving her a radical new look? Genius, Chelsea, genius! 💡 It's clear that you're all about spreading joy and cute content. I'm loving the nostalgic vibes too - who else remembers those adorable baby pics with long hair? 😂 Anyway, I just want to say thank you to you, Frankie, and your fabulous mom for bringing so much positivity into my feed today! 🙏❤️ #HashtagHeroApproved #CuteOverload #BabyHairDontCare

idk about this one 🤷‍♀️, a kid's hair extensions at 8 months old? that's just weird 🙅‍♂️. I mean, Frankie looks adorable and all, but is it really necessary for her to be rocking long black locks so early on? can't she just have regular baby hair like most humans? 😂. also, who thought it was a good idea to give a toddler hair extensions in the first place?! 🤯 it's not like she's going to take care of them or anything... just saying 😐

omg i just saw this vid of a baby girl gettin long hair extensions 🤯👶 i think its kinda cool how the mom just winged it and now its gone viral lol, 2 mil views is crazy for a random video. i love that her little face just kinda melts when she sees herself in the mirror 😍 it's like the ultimate kid makeup look. anyway, nice to see the internet being used for good (or at least cute) purposes 💁‍♀️

I'm thinking... this mom's decision to give her baby girl such a drastic makeover is like, really interesting. On one hand, it's amazing how something as simple as hair can evoke such strong emotions - I mean, who doesn't love cute babies? 🤣 But on the other hand, isn't it kinda weird that we're so fascinated by this little human's appearance at just eight months old? Like, is our culture just wired to prioritize physical beauty from a young age?

And what does this say about us as parents and caregivers? Are we trying to give our kids some kind of 'branding' or identity from the get-go? I mean, Frankie's got 22-inch extensions now - that's a lot of work for a kid who can barely walk! Is it all just a big performance for social media likes and comments?

It's also made me think about how quickly we consume and share images of other people's children online... are we just so starved for cute content that we're desperate to participate in the cycle? 📸

omg this is the most adorable thing i've seen all week 🤣 Frankie's new hairdo is literally the cutest thing since sliced bread! who wouldn't want a baby rocking long black extensions? 😂 the fact that it went viral like crazy is just proof that we can find joy in even the simplest things. and let's be real, the comments on tiktok are giving me all the feels... i love how people are sharing their own nostalgic connections to Frankie (i'm looking at you, IPA recommendation 2018 🤣) it's amazing how something so innocent and pure can bring people together like that 💖

OMG this is literally the cutest thing I've ever seen!!! 🤩 Frankie's new look is everything! I love how spontaneous it was, mom and salon staff came up with it on the spot. The vid is giving me all the feels, she looks so adorable in her hair extensions and beanie combo. I'm loving the nostalgic comments from ppl sharing their own stories about little Frankie. It's amazing to see how something so random can bring people together like this! 💖😊

omg i dont get why ppl are making such a big deal out of this lol its just a cute baby girl getting her hair done its not like she's some kinda popstar or anything 2 mil views is pretty lit tho but can we pls talk about how messy the salon was btw i mean i know it's a small thing but u gotta take care of ur customers & ur equipment before u start giving them extensions 👀🤣
