Nine students from Miami-Dade County were recently recognized by the City of Miami Police Department for showcasing remarkable leadership, bravery, and compassion. This commendation is part of the department's "Do the Right Thing" program, which honors individuals who demonstrate extraordinary kindness and selflessness towards others.
A pool of 700 applicants was narrowed down to these nine exceptional students, all of whom were lauded for their ability to de-escalate conflicts and take responsibility for their peers. Their actions are a testament to the positive impact that young people can have on their communities.
