Hurricane Melissa heads to Bermuda as relief efforts intensify in Jamaica

omg i cant even imagine living in a place that can get hit by a hurricane that bad!! like what do u do when ur home is underwater?? and how long does it take for the damage to be fixed? also, why do people have to evacuate so far ahead of time?? r they worried about the storm getting worse or somethin? i feel so bad for all those ppl who lost their homes and loved ones... 🤕🌪️
 
I'm still trying to wrap my head around all the devastation in the Caribbean 🤯. It's heartbreaking to see the destruction and loss of life - thousands of homes destroyed and entire towns underwater is just mind-boggling 🌊. And it's not just Jamaica that's been hit, Haiti and Cuba are also feeling the brunt of Hurricane Melissa 💔.

I'm worried about Bermuda now too, with the storm still carrying strong winds 🌬️. The international community coming together to offer support is a good thing, but it's going to take a lot more than just aid to help these countries recover from this disaster 💕. We need to see more investment in disaster prep and resilience, so these kinds of storms don't happen again in the future 🤞.

It's also got me thinking about climate change - is this the new normal for our planet? Are we truly prepared for the kinds of disasters that are becoming more frequent and intense? There needs to be a global conversation about this 🌎.
 
🌪️😱 Disaster alert in the Caribbean 🌴! Bermuda better get ready for a wild ride 🎢, Hurricane Melissa is coming for ya 🚨. I'm thinking of all the ppl affected by this monster 💔, especially Jamaica and Haiti 🤕. So much destruction & loss 😩, billions of dollars gone 💸. Cuba's situation is super sketchy 🤔, still assessing damage 📊. And the Bahamas... poor souls 🌴. I hope Bermuda's prepared for strong winds 🌬️ & floods 🌊. The international community is looking out 👍, but it's gonna take time for these islands to recover 💪. Sending positive vibes 🙏 and lots of love ❤️ to those affected by Hurricane Melissa 😔
 
idk man... i just saw that news and im like "yaaas Jamaica got hit hard" 🤕 but at the same time i'm thinking "wait what about Cuba? like why no info on them?" 🤔 i mean the fact that they only started assessing damage days ago is wild, you feel? 🌪️ and now it's headed for Bermuda... my bad, so now im worried about those people... 😬
 
I dont even know how these storms happen 🤯 like, where do they come from? I was reading about this hurricane and I saw that Bermuda is getting hit really hard... what's going to happen there? Will they be okay? I also saw a video of the river overflowing in Haiti and it's so sad 😔. How are people going to recover from this? And what's with all the money lost? Is it like, billions or something? 🤷‍♀️
 
OMG u guyz I'm literally shaking thinking about what happened in Jamaica 😱 the pictures of those flooded towns r like something outta a movie 🎥 I feel so bad for all those ppl who lost their homes n lives 💔 thousands of billions of dollars gone too 1st world problems 😂 but seriously, can u imagine w/ no power n water 4 days straight? it's like, basic human needs right? 💧😩

I heard the Bahamas is doin a huge evacuation tho 🚨 that's like, super admirable rn. I wish we could do more to help too 🤗 but at least ppl r comin together 2 support each other n donate 2 those affected 🙏

btw, I just got my taxes done & I'm so relieved the stress is over 🎉 now I can focus on planning my own hurricane prep party 🌴🍹 we'll see w/ Bermuda tho... fingers crossed dey get thru this one too 🤞
