You be the judge: take part in our live event

A Domestic Dispute Settled by the Guardian? You Can Be Part of it!

The Guardian is inviting readers to air their grievances in a live event that promises to settle domestic disputes in a fair and hilarious way. On November 26, 2025, at Kings Place in London, two individuals with ongoing feuds can present their cases on stage for the benefit of a panel of writers from The Guardian.

This unique initiative lets you put your complaints under the microscope – literally. To participate, both parties must agree to be featured, and you need to get permission from them first. Once you've shared your story and obtained consent, it's off to the live event, where our journalists will dissect your dispute.

The winning pair will receive a £100 gift card for Trullo and a copy of Tim Siadatan's new cookbook Padella, which has been handpicked by Guardian food expert Tim Lusher. This is an excellent opportunity to resolve long-standing disputes in front of an audience – or make the situation even worse, depending on how it unfolds.

The event is open to individuals based in the UK who are willing and able to travel to London for the live session. To enter, you'll need to fill out a form where you share your story and confirm that the other party has agreed to participate.

Before you start typing away, remember that The Guardian will only use your data for this specific purpose – after which it will be deleted. Rest assured that your responses are secure, thanks to encryption that only our journalists can access.

If you're ready to settle your domestic dispute in a unique and possibly hilarious way, apply now through the online form before November 10, 2025.

OMG 😂 I think this is genius! Like, who doesn't love a good laugh at someone else's expense? But seriously, it's really cool that The Guardian is doing something so unique to help people resolve their disputes. I mean, how many times have we all been stuck in a bad relationship or with a family member and just wanted to scream 🤯? This event could be like therapy, but way more entertaining! 💁‍♀️ I'm totally applying for it, who knows, maybe it'll bring some much-needed resolution to my own life 😂. The prize sounds awesome too, truffle oil and pasta recipes are basically the best thing ever 🍝👌

OMG I'm low-key excited about this lol I've been in situations where me and my bae had some major drama 🤯 but honestly never thought it'd be on stage like that 🎭 idk if I'd want to air all the tea or just a summary of the beef 😂. It sounds like it could be pretty funny though especially with the £100 gift card for Trullo 🤑

I'm telling ya, this sounds like some kinda social experiment 🤔👀. They want us to spill our guts on live TV for a £100 gift card? That's just too easy. I bet there's more to it than meets the eye... what if they're using this as a way to study human behavior or something? And who decides which disputes get featured and which ones don't? It's all about control, man 🤷‍♂️.

I think this is a super interesting idea, but also kinda weird at the same time? Like, how do they even plan to resolve disputes in a fair and funny way? It's not like it's just gonna be a bunch of people yelling at each other on stage 😂. And what if one person shows up unprepared or can't handle the spotlight? That could make things worse 🤯.

But I guess it's also kinda nice that The Guardian is trying to provide an outlet for people who are stuck in these messy relationships. Maybe it'll help them work out their issues or, at the very least, get some laughs out of the experience 💀. And hey, a £100 gift card and a cookbook sounds like a pretty sweet consolation prize 🍰.

I'm just curious, though – what kind of stories are people actually going to share? Are they gonna be super dramatic and crazy, or more low-key and just annoying 😅? Either way, I think it's gonna be some wild ride 🎢.
