Ugh, can you believe this? Airports are literally grinding to a halt due to unpaid air traffic controllers! I mean, 16,700 flights delayed and 2,282 cancelled is just insane. It's like, what even is the point of having "essential workers" if they're not getting paid on time?! 
It's not like these guys are just chillin' at home, they're actually putting their lives on the line to keep planes in the air and people safe. And now, because of some politics, they're stuck without pay for over a month? It's just ridiculous.
I feel bad for the families who have to deal with this too... I mean, these guys are working hard, but at least when you get paid, you can plan your life out, right? Not being able to know from one day to the next if your family will be fed or not is super stressful.
We need to figure out a way to resolve this ASAP so these controllers can get paid and get back to work. It's just common sense!

, but it's real life for thousands of people! I feel so bad for those air traffic controllers who have been working non-stop without pay for over a month... it's crazy how much stress and fatigue they're under. The whole thing is just messed up 
13k+ controllers are out @ work @ thyme & it's causin these MASSIVE delays & cancellations

what's goin on is that they got all these air traffic controllers workin without pay for like a month now

the gov is all about balance and stuff so they're tryin to keep the controllers from losin their jobs while still makin sure air traffic keeps flowin... meanwhile the shutdown is goin on for 35 days now 
and it's gettin close to bein the longest one ever. what a mess
