Bronx Man Charged in Brutal Bar Brawl Turned Murder
A violent confrontation outside a Bronx bar on Sunday morning escalated into murder, leaving 35-year-old Pamela Almonte Cabrera dead. Cristian Moya, a 28-year-old resident of Kingsbridge Terrace, is now facing multiple charges in connection with her fatal stabbing.
Eyewitnesses report that the altercation began at Mama Dora Bar and Lounge on East Kingsbridge Road, where a dispute between Moya and his girlfriend turned violent. When Cabrera attempted to intervene and break up the fight, she was stabbed repeatedly in the chest by Moya's small knife.
According to authorities, Cabrera was taken to BronxCare Health Systems before being transferred to Lincoln Hospital, where she was pronounced dead at around 8:30 a.m. Sunday morning.
Moya was arrested two days later, on Tuesday evening, at approximately 7:30 p.m. The victim's boyfriend has not been charged in connection with the incident.
As Moya awaits arraignment, his attorney's information remains unclear. Cabrera's death is being investigated by police as a homicide, with charges including murder, manslaughter, and criminal possession of a weapon.
