Lego's Latest Fan-Designed Creations Get the Green Light: A Power Rangers Megazord Is Coming.
A whopping six sets were confirmed as official Lego Ideas sets during this year's review stage, with fans and collectors eagerly awaiting their turn to get their hands on these highly anticipated creations. Among the set winners is a rather iconic design that will undoubtedly excite kids' eyes worldwide - The Go-Go Power Rangers! LEGO Megazord.
Clocking in at an estimated 1,225 pieces (a figure bearing in mind it might change as development progresses), TrumanBricks' interpretation of the beloved Power Rangers franchise brings together all five original Rangers: Jason, Zack, Billy, Trini, and Kimberly. Additionally, this set includes a functioning Megazord that can break down into its individual Zords - quite the clever feature for any fan of this series.
While it's impossible to predict which sets will make it past review stage, Lego fans have plenty to celebrate as four licensed sets were also approved: an E.T. the Extraterrestrial model, The Smurfs set, Downton Abbey-inspired creation, and a Day of the Dead-themed La Calavera Catrina model.
On the other hand, there are still some models that aren't quite there yet - namely three additional ideas currently undergoing review. These projects showcase Lego's ongoing commitment to incorporating fan suggestions into its products: A Golden Girls-inspired kitchen set, Daft Punk-themed concert build, and Ernest Hemingway's The Old Man and the Sea display piece all await further confirmation.
Fans of popular TV shows can look forward to seeing their favorite characters immortalized in Lego form. Unfortunately, no release date has been confirmed for these new sets - which could take months or even years before hitting stores.
