To Cut Ties with Norton VPN, Follow These Steps

If you've had enough of Norton VPN's shortcomings and want to ditch it for good, you're in luck. Canceling the service is easier than you think, but it does require some effort.

First things first: stop auto-renewal. This will give you 24 hours to find a new VPN before your subscription renews automatically. To do this, log into your Norton account dashboard and click on "Manage Renewal" or "Cancel Subscription Renewal." Then, select the reason for cancellation (you don't have to be truthful!) and click "Next." Be patient – you'll need to get past several pleas to cancel.

Once auto-renewal is off, you can request a refund. This can take up to 60 days after payment if your subscription was annual, but only 14 days for monthly plans. To initiate the process, contact Norton directly and follow these steps:

1. Open support.norton.com in your browser.
2. Scroll down to find the "Contact us" button and click it.
3. Enter the email address associated with your Norton account and verify your identity by entering a verification code.
4. Select "Purchase & Billing" and then "Request refund."
5. Give a reason for cancellation (again, no need to be truthful!) and follow any further instructions.

Note that if you subscribed through an app store like Apple App Store or Google Play Store, you'll need to cancel the subscription through those platforms as well before contacting Norton directly.

Before moving on, delete all Norton apps from your devices. This is crucial because Norton software can be notoriously difficult to uninstall and will return if not completely removed.
