I'm not buying that story . I mean, come on, they're getting booed off by their own fans and suddenly they're apologizing to Frank? That's just a cop-out. If they were truly frustrated with the team's performance, maybe they should've spoken up during the game instead of taking it out on their own teammates and the poor guy who was trying to manage them .

And what really gets my goat is that Frank is downplaying this whole thing and acting like he's some kind of victim. Newsflash, mate: you're a football manager, not a politician . You can't just sweep this under the rug and expect everyone to forget about it. And another thing, if they're "good people", then why are they getting booed off by their own fans? That's what's really telling here...

I gotta say, that's pretty harsh treatment from the fans . I get that they're frustrated with the team's performance, but booing them off the pitch? That's just not cool . The fact that Spence and Van de Ven apologized to Frank after the game is a good start, but it's clear that more needs to be done to address this kind of behavior from the fans . I mean, can't they just show some respect for the players, even if they're not playing their best?

OMG u guys i cant even right now lol this is getting out of hand!!! so these two players are apologizing and frank is all like "oh its no big deal" but what about the fans who were booing them off?? they felt disrespected! and now lucas is involved too? it feels like the players just dont get it

i mean frank says hes gonna protect his players and all but what about setting an example for the team?? its not just about being human, its about showing respect to the fans who are supporting them especially after that 1-0 loss they had to be more humble than ever

Lol what did these Spurs players expect tho? They get booed off after a bad loss and then they walk all over the boss like that . I feel like some of them are still kids, you can't just disrespect your coach and expect to get away with it. I mean I get it, they were frustrated but so was the rest of us watching at home . Thomas Frank is right though, his players are all humans too and deserve respect. But some constructive talking would've been nice instead of walking past him like that .

I'm so over this booing thing . I mean, come on! Those guys are just trying their best out there. They're human beings too, you know? And to get booed off by your own fans... it's like, what's next?

And can we talk about how hard it is for them? Playing with no skipper and still giving it their all. It's like they're trying to do everything themselves. I feel bad for them, even if the performance wasn't the best .

Frank is right, of course – his players are good people . They deserve respect, but so does Djed Spence and Micky van de Ven for owning up to their frustration. Maybe we can talk about how to deal with that kind of pressure in a healthier way?
