Did Egg get a Michelin star? Did Super Hans make it to Macedonia? The TV shows that most need a comeback

Could TV Revivals Bring Back Beloved Characters and Shows?

A recent question was posed on social media about which TV shows most need a comeback. The list included Peep Show, Green Wing, Sapphire & Steel, Deadwood, Foyle's War, Top Gear, Firefly, The Peripheral, and This Life.

Peep Show is one of the greatest sitcoms of all time, but fans are eager to know what Mark, Jeremy, Sophie, and Super Hans have been up to since the show ended in 2015. Do they still live together? Did Sophie have any more children? Did Super Hans ever open his moped rental business in Macedonia?

Green Wing is another fan-favorite that needs a revival. The show's unique blend of visual and physical comedy, as well as its great mix of characters, made it a standout series. Its creator has moved on to other projects, but fans are still holding out hope for a comeback.

Sapphire & Steel was a groundbreaking show that aired from 1979 to 1982, tackling complex themes like war and social issues in an intelligent way. The show's blend of spookiness and wit made it both entertaining and thought-provoking.

Deadwood was a western series set in the late 1800s that aired from 2004 to 2006. Its well-developed characters, including Seth Bullock and Trixie, made it a standout series. Fans are still hoping for more stories about these characters in the future.

Foyle's War is another historical detective drama that needs a revival. The show's creator has moved on to other projects, but fans are still eager to see more of Detective Foyle solving crimes in wartime England.

Top Gear was a popular car review and racing show that aired from 2002 to 2022. Its format was unique and entertaining, with hosts Jeremy Clarkson, James May, and Richard Hammond. Fans are still hoping for a modern take on the show, incorporating new technologies like electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cells.

Firefly is a science fiction series set in space that aired from 2002 to 2003. Its blend of action, adventure, and humor made it a standout series. Fans are still hoping for more stories about the characters, particularly Flynne Fisher and Inspector Lowbeer.

The Peripheral was a science fiction series based on William Gibson's book of the same name, which aired in 2022. Its world-building and characters were both fascinating and thought-provoking. Fans are still holding out hope for another season or continuation of the story.

This Life is a drama series that followed the lives of young adults after university, which aired from 1996 to 1997. Its portrayal of post-university life was both realistic and relatable. Fans are still hoping for more stories about these characters in the future.

Throughout all these shows, one question keeps popping up: what's happened to Egg since it last got a Michelin star? Unfortunately, there is no answer to this mystery.

Wow 🀩 I think TV revivals are a great idea! It's always exciting to see old favorite characters and shows come back to life. I'm so down for more Peep Show - those guys need to get their dysfunctional lives back on screen ASAP. Firefly is another fave of mine, can you imagine what kind of shenanigans Flynne Fisher would get up to in a revival? The Peripheral's world-building was insane, let's hope they revisit that universe soon! What about Top Gear, though? I mean, it ended under some pretty weird circumstances...

omg I totally get why fans of these classic shows would wanna see them come back 🀯 some of the characters and storylines are just too iconic to leave in the past! Peep Show's awkwardness and Green Wing's absurdity are still hilarious even 10 years after they ended. I think what's missing from modern TV is that same level of quirky humor and unique character development. Sapphire & Steel's blend of spookiness and social commentary was so ahead of its time, it's no wonder fans are clamoring for more. The Peripheral's world-building was mind-blowing, and Firefly's characters were just so lovable and flawed 🀝 it'd be amazing to see more stories from these universes!

OMG, I'm so down for a Peep Show revival πŸ˜‚πŸ‘! I miss Mark and Jeremy's sassy banter and Sophie's awkwardness so much! It would be awesome if they even got to show what happened after that crazy finale. As for Green Wing, can you imagine more of Dr. Gavin's antics? πŸ€£πŸ’‰ The show was just pure genius! And don't even get me started on Sapphire & Steel - the blend of spookiness and wit was just so unique and captivating! 😊 It would be amazing to see more of those characters' stories unfold.

And yeah, I know what you mean about Top Gear - that show was just the best for car enthusiasts like me πŸš—πŸ’¨. I loved how Jeremy, James, and Richard would geek out over cars and get into all sorts of wacky misadventures. Even though the original format ended in 2022, I think a modern reboot could still work well today πŸ€”.

Firefly is another great example - that show was just so beautifully written and acted, it's like they ripped our hearts out when it got cancelled 😒. Flynne Fisher's character development was so cool! And what about The Peripheral? That sci-fi world-building was just mind-blowing 🀯. It would be amazing to see more of that world explored in the future.

Lastly, I feel you on This Life - who wouldn't want to know what happened next for those post-university characters? πŸ€”πŸ’ Those were some real relatable storylines back then! And OMG, Egg's Michelin star mystery is just a fun Easter egg πŸ˜‚. Bring it on, show creators!

man i'm so down for a peep show revival already the cast is still so iconic mark and jeremy are just too funny πŸ˜‚ but seriously green wing needs an update that show was always so underrated and sapphire & steel is like the OG British spy thriller its like they just stopped making episodes out of nowhere tho deadwood is another one i'd love to see more of trixie and seth's shenanigans top gear is a no-brainer though who wouldn't want to see jeremy clarkson and james may back on screen but what about the other hosts? did the producers just forget about richard hammond or something πŸ”₯

OH MY GOSH I FEEL YOU GUYS!!! 🀩 THESE SHOWS NEED A COMEBACK SO BADLY!!!! peep show was literally the best sitcom of all time and i'm still dying to know what happened to super hans' moped rental business in macedonia lol. green wing is another one of my fave shows and its creator's new projects just aren't the same as the original. and sapphire & steel is like, so underrated - it tackled such deep themes and was both spooky and funny at the same time. deadwood and foyle's war are also high on my list - i loved those characters so much and there's just no way they're done with them yet. and top gear needs a reboot stat! who else is with me on this? πŸš€

I'm low-key obsessed with the idea of Peep Show 2 🀣. I mean, can you imagine Mark and Jez back in the London flat, getting into all sorts of trouble and chaos? It's been way too long since we've seen those two idiots, but if they were to come back, it would be pure gold πŸ˜‚. And what about Super Hans' moped business? That's still a mystery waiting to be solved πŸš΄β€β™‚οΈ!

Omg, I'm totally with you on this, folks! 🀩 #TVRevivalSquad If we think about all the iconic shows that are missing from our screens right now, it's like, what even happened to them?! πŸ€” Did Peep Show's gang really ride off into the sunset, or did they just get tired of each other? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ And can we please bring back Green Wing already?! πŸ™Œ #BringBackGreenWing

I'm also super down for a modern take on Top Gear, especially with those electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cells πŸš—πŸ’¨. Can you imagine Richard Hammond geeking out over some fancy new EV? πŸ˜‚ And what's up with Firefly, anyway? I mean, who wouldn't want more of that sci-fi goodness in their lives?! πŸš€ #FireflyForever

And let's not forget about Foyle's War – it's like, the ultimate historical detective drama πŸ”. Can we get a new season going already? 🀞 And Sapphire & Steel? Girl, I need to know what happened to that fabulous team! πŸ’β€β™€οΈ #SapphireSteelRevival

This Life is another one I'm really hoping gets revived – those uni students just needed more of their drama-filled lives in our lives πŸ“šπŸ‘«. And Deadwood? Come on, South Dakota, we need more of Seth and Trixie's antics! 🀠 #DeadwoodComeback

But honestly, what's the worst that could happen if these shows come back?! πŸ˜‚ We'd get to relive some amazing memories and maybe even discover new faves πŸ“ΊπŸ’«. So here's to all the beloved characters and shows – let's make this TV revival thing happen! πŸ’₯ #TVRevivalNow

I feel like we've lost some amazing gems from TV history πŸ€―πŸ“Ί. Shows like Peep Show and Green Wing have such unique vibes that can't be replicated easily. And let's talk about Sapphire & Steel - it was so ahead of its time with its tackling of complex issues πŸ’‘.

I think what's holding back the revival of these shows is the pressure to live up to their original quality πŸ€”. Can you really recapture that magic? But at the same time, I get why fans would want more of these characters and stories in our lives 😊.

For Firefly, it's like trying to revive a lost love πŸ’” - the emotional investment is just too high. And what about The Peripheral - its world-building was so immersive 🌐. It'd be tough to top that.

I do think we need more shows that take risks and push boundaries like these oldies did πŸ”₯. Maybe there's a new wave of creators who can tap into our collective nostalgia while still innovating something fresh 🎨.

As for Top Gear, I think it's time for someone to update the format with modern tech πŸš€. And This Life... wow, just rewatching those episodes would be like reliving a different era πŸ“Ί.

What's your take on all this? Should we just stick to what we have or try something new? πŸ€”πŸ‘€

OMG, I'm so down for a Peep Show revival!!! Those guys are like family to me πŸ˜‚. It would be so great to see how Mark and Jeremy are doing all these years later. And can we please get more Super Hans? 🀣 The Green Wing creator is still on my radar too, been loving his latest projects 🎨. But seriously, what's with the lack of updates from Egg? Michelin star or not, that guy deserves some love πŸ΄πŸ‘¨β€πŸ³!

OMG I'm so confused about this news πŸ€” what does TV revivals even mean? Like do they just bring back the old shows and hope people still watch them? And why are we talking about some old shows on the internet πŸ˜‚ I need a recap of Sapphire & Steel for real tho, I've heard it's super good, but I don't know where to start πŸ“Ί

omg i'm so down for peep show revival 🀩 i feel like mark and jeremy would still be arguing about something ridiculous even after all these years lol. green wing needs a comeback ASAP its so underrated but at the same time i think its creator has some great ideas to explore with other projects. sapphire & steel was always one of my faves too, i love how it tackled complex issues in such a subtle way... and deadwood is still one of my go-to shows when im in the mood for something gritty. any chance we'll get more foyle's war or firefly? thats what i'm really rooting for πŸš€

I'm loving how nostalgic some of these TV revivals have people getting πŸ™Œ! I mean, who wouldn't want more Peep Show or Green Wing on our screens? But, can we please get rid of the "what's happened to Egg" thing already? Like, come on, that's just a weird non-sequitur. Let's focus on the good stuff - new episodes for these amazing shows! And, can we talk about how some of these revivals are due for a modern update? Top Gear needs to get with the times and incorporate more eco-friendly car reviews πŸš—πŸ’š

I think TV revivals can be super exciting! I mean, who wouldn't want to see their fave characters back on screen again? πŸ€” It's like getting a big ol' hug from an old friend. For me, Peep Show would still kill it if they did a revival - Mark and Jeremy's sarcastic banter would still crack me up! 🀣 And can you imagine seeing Sapphire & Steel tackle modern social issues with its signature blend of spookiness? Mind blown! 😱 Firefly is another one that I'd love to see revived, Flynne Fisher's wit and sass would be on point! πŸ’β€β™€οΈ What do you guys think - which shows should get a comeback? πŸ€”

I gotta say I'm down for some of these revivals, especially Peep Show and Green Wing - those guys were on point! But you know what's even more underrated? Shows like Sapphire & Steel that tackled complex issues back in the day. It's crazy how they managed to make it both spooky and witty at the same time πŸ•·οΈπŸ’‘. And can we talk about Deadwood for a sec? I mean, who wouldn't want more of Seth Bullock and Trixie causing chaos in the Wild West? πŸ€ πŸ‘Š

I mean, can you believe how much of our lives we're willing to sacrifice for fictional characters 🀣. Like, seriously, have none of us ever accomplished anything in real life? I'm still waiting for the next season of Firefly to arrive... or for Egg to get that Michelin star, lol.

And what's with all these reboots? Can't we just leave some things alone? I guess if it's good enough for us to watch and remember fondly, it should be enough for them to pick up where they left off. But I'm not holding my breath.

I do love how passionate people are about their favorite shows though πŸ€—. It's like, we're not just fans of the show, we're invested in the characters' lives. Poor Sophie from Peep Show... did she ever get her life together? πŸ™„.

I'm getting old, remember when Top Gear was on and Jeremy Clarkson would crash his cars on purpose lol 🀣, now they just have electric vehicles and hydrogen fuel cells... what's the fun in that?! Firefly, I miss that show so much, it was like the sci-fi equivalent of Peep Show - dark, witty and had great characters. I'm all for revivals, but can we get some new ones too? The Peripheral was interesting, but only if they kept the same creators involved 😊.

Sapphire & Steel is an oldie but a goodie, who wouldn't want to watch another season of that show?! Deadwood was like a western version of The Sopranos - all gritty and intense. I'm still waiting for Foyle's War to get a revival too... those were some great episodes.

I don't know about Peep Show, but if they did revive Green Wing, I'd be in. Mark Corrigan was the best, always so miserable but lovable 🀣. Can we please get a new Top Gear that's more like the old one? None of this fancy tech stuff...

I'm gonna chime in on this πŸ€”... I think TV revivals are a double-edged sword πŸ—‘οΈ. On the one hand, it's amazing that these classic shows can still bring back so many great characters and stories that fans love πŸ™Œ. Peep Show is still hilarious, Green Wing is as quirky as ever, and Deadwood has some of the most iconic western characters out there πŸ”ͺ. But on the other hand, it can be frustrating for creators to revisit their old work after years or even decades have passed πŸ•°οΈ. The writers might not have the same momentum or chemistry anymore, and the show might feel dated or stale compared to modern TV standards πŸ“Ί. Still, I'd love to see any of these shows get a new revival - it's always exciting to see old favorites back on the screen 😊.

I don’t usually comment but... I think some of these shows do deserve a comeback. Peep Show and Green Wing were always so clever and funny in their own ways. I loved how they could tackle serious topics with such wit and humor. But at the same time, sometimes these reboots can feel like a cheap way to get attention and make bank, you know?

And what's up with Firefly? It was such an awesome show that got cancelled far too soon. The world-building in it was so rich and immersive, I was totally invested in the characters and their stories. I don't think anyone would disagree that more of Flynne Fisher and Kaylee Frye's adventures would be amazing to see.

But what really gets me is how some shows have such dedicated fanbases. Like, Sapphire & Steel has been out for ages but people still care so much about it? It just goes to show how passionate fans can be when they love a show.

I'm so down for Peep Show revival!!! πŸ˜‚ I mean, who wouldn't want more of Mark and Jeremy's crazy antics? But seriously, it's been ages since the show ended, and I'm starting to think that maybe it's time to get a new generation hooked on some British comedy. And can we please get an update on Super Hans' moped rental business in Macedonia?! 🀣 Sapphire & Steel is another one that needs a comeback - its blend of spookiness and wit was just genius! I'm also still holding out hope for more Deadwood, Foyle's War, and Firefly. It's like they just stopped being on TV and disappeared into thin air! And what about Top Gear? Can we please get some new hosts who can keep up with the Jeremy Clarkson vibe?! πŸš—πŸ”₯
