Cyndi Lauper to be Inducted into Rock & Roll Hall of Fame by Chappell Roan in Emotional Ceremony
A major milestone is just around the corner as a trailblazing female artist will take center stage at the 40th annual Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony. On November 8, rising star Chappell Roan will honor her idol and music icon, Cyndi Lauper, with an emotional induction ceremony.
In an exclusive Instagram video announcement, Roan expressed her immense gratitude and admiration for Lauper's groundbreaking impact on her career and life. "She has inspired me with her fashion and her hair, and of course, her makeup, her music," Roan said, highlighting the numerous ways in which Lauper's work has influenced her own artistic expression.
This isn't the first time the two have crossed paths; last year, Lauper publicly praised Roan's growing success during an interview with Playbill and in her documentary "Let the Canary Sing". Lauper described Roan's music as "such dusky, yearning keyboard pop" and even gushed about the singer's distinctive hair style, drawing comparisons to Lauper's own iconic looks.
The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony promises to be a star-studded event, featuring an impressive lineup of performers and presenters. Olivia Rodrigo, Doja Cat, Elton John, and Twenty One Pilots are just a few of the artists taking the stage, alongside a host of celebrities including Beck, David Letterman, Flea, Iggy Pop, J.I.D, Killer Mike, Maxwell, Questlove, Raye, Sleepy Brown, Teddy Swims, and Taylor Momsen.
For music fans, this year's ceremony will be available to stream live on Disney+ and made available on Hulu the following day. The event marks a significant milestone in Lauper's illustrious career, solidifying her place alongside some of rock history's most iconic figures.
Beyond Lauper's induction, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame ceremony will also honor several other influential artists and industry professionals, including Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Joe Cocker, Outkast, Soundgarden, and the White Stripes.

I'm super stoked that Cyndi Lauper is getting the recognition she deserves! She's been a total trailblazer for female artists in the industry, and it's awesome to see Chappell Roan giving her the love back. It's also really cool that they're not just celebrating Cyndi's music, but also her style and influence on their lives
