BBC settles with 7 October survivors for filming home 'without permission'

just think about it... £28k might seem like a lot but its not like they did anything wrong by accident 🤑 4£k per yr is what the BBC pays to that family and thats not even the total, i guess its just another example of how these big companies try to stay out of trouble by paying people off 💸 but at the same time u gotta wonder if its really worth it... wouldnt they rather just be honest & transparent in the 1st place? 🤔

I think it's totally harsh what happened to the Horenstein family 😱. They just went through one of the toughest times in their lives, losing their home and loved ones, and then you have a news crew showing up uninvited to film them? It's like they were trying to exploit their pain for ratings 📺. I don't think it's okay for them to be paid £28k to just forget about the whole ordeal 💸. Can't we just respect people's boundaries and give them some space after something traumatic happens? 🤝

I just don't get why the BBC would risk paying out £28k to the Horenstein family like that... I mean, think about it, the family is already dealing with one of the most traumatic experiences imaginable - losing their home in a Hamas attack - and then you've got some BBC crew showing up unannounced, filming them without consent? It's just so insensitive. And £28k is nothing, really. A drop in the ocean compared to what these people have lost. I know the BBC has to cover its own backside when it comes to editorial decisions, but this case just highlights how careless they can be with people's well-being.

🤔 come on bbc think you're above the law just because u r a big network? £28k is peanuts for what they did 7 families were left homeless and traumatized by ur crew's actions 😩 and now u r settling with one family for that kinda cash?? 🤑 it's not about transparency or respect, its about covering up ur own butt when the cameras stop rolling. and btw, if ur so concerned about editorial bias, why did u do a doco featuring the son of a hamas official without disclosing the link? 🤷‍♂️ consistent, huh?
